EUROPA MAGICA / MEDITHEATRE

Dear Friends,  Cari Amici,

thank you very much to your attention to the EUROPA MAGICA / MEDITHEATRE project.

Special thanks to whom who have been reading the astonishing poem “She Who Killed the Lord of Eden”.

The reason of these special thanks is because of the possibility (even if this is a very little drop) to contribute in humanitary aid (see attached invoice in favour of Emergency)

The idea of emancipation is the main theme of the EUROPA MAGICA / MEDITHEATRE project (and also of the Altotas’ poem, which is a phantastic document against every kind of dogmatism, fanatism and triumph of false god and wrong ideas and theological mistakes, which are the hidden causes of hatre and war in this world): this is the key to interpret our efforts in sharing enlightenment and awareness during this life.

With all the blessing,

Con ogni benedizione,

Ahimsa: destroy weapons is to combat against violence into myself.

We are into a cultural revolution, more deeper than in Seventies, nevertheless still we aren’t fully aware of this. Let’s work together in open source to generate an open society. The most part of people is not aware of this.

Nothwithstanding , internet systems and tools are definitely instruments which allow to a crescent number of people an international personality, something that before was possible just for very rich men…

most of people have not awareness of this opportunity… they talk and chat, and chit and chops through internet without seeing the revolutionary meaning…

So, when you state your clear position against war, they think it’s just to appear; instead this to share, to spread, to cultivate and make grow the seed of open mind in an open source society.

We are against war, because to make war is always to make someone else’s interest. Against war. Against religions, because we are believers. Against oppression.
Destroying weapons and spitting on it!
Light is for everybody.

EUROPE’S NEXT DEAL

Europe needs for a new deal.

After the failure of the Constitution project (French and Netherlands referendums), the point seems to be just to wait for something that have to happen elsewhere.

Just few months ago, American thinkers like Jeremy Rifkin were writing that the American Dream was at the sunset boulevard, while a new European Dream was rising.

At the present, things are quite different, because the European Dream has been frozen (if not hyberned) while something is going to happen in America.

The possible election of Barack Obama could means really the break out of old arguments like “Are you left? Right?  Big Government?  Small?”

Into the speechs of Obama we can find statements that politics have to work for American families “and not to special interests of lobbyist”, or that the way is “to inspire people to try to do better in the world but to do so with a clear-eyed gaze, to understand that these things are not going to be easy”, knowing that “at the end of the conversation there are still going to be disagreements”; that the challenge is the idea of equality and opportunity and recognizing that “the world is smaller than we something think and that the aspirations of people around the world – although not always expressed in identical ways – really aren’t all that different”.

All this arguments seems to be really democracy, even if the speech seems to become visionary as when he says “if we are willing to work for it and fight for it and believe in it, then generation from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good job to the jobless; this was the momnet when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on forth.”

The financiary crisis doesn’t help the optimistic preview; nevertheless something is changing.

If the American Dream could become something new into the consciousness that the world is more and more interdipendent and that people of the whole world have the same basic desires, that to insure basic freedom means give opportunities and chances to make the world a place where to live is a soul travel.

Even if all this can be reducted as propaganda, sure we needs for this utopian way to feel our life, and to communicate this way of life, we need for a more transnational and open source idea of the meaning of life.

This is what – nevertheless the economic fear, nevertheless the obscurantist forces – is going to happen.

May the Light can be Merciful.

The Knight’s Tradition and the Open Source Interfaith perspective

The importance of faith and religion is a factor which is very growing into perception of people about the meaning of life for each one of us during our earthly time. The news is that the traditional way to look faith and religion seems day by day more and more inadequate to the contemporary society. The internet age cannot be satisfied (or, at least, persuaded) just through dogma, because – and nevertheless the efforts of the Congregation for the doctrine of the Faith – today peoples are no more disposable to accept such kind of obscurantist attitude.

The question is that faith and religion are no more considered as nightmare of the past or people’s opium, but something of extraordinary importance for our present and future life, and “a civilizing force in globalization”, as Tony Blair says in a recent interview, stating that “in the past decade, the old connection between religion and globalization has been augmented in a surprising way.” In a fine analysis, he recognize that “Muslims often says of extremists that it’s really got nothing to do with religion.” Unfortunately, he adds: “And I say to them: these people say that they’re doing it in the name of God, so we can’t say that it doesn’t matter. It does matter.” Perhaps this is correct, and of course, it does matter. But Blair seems to forget that in St. Bernard’s words “killing for Christ” was malecide and not homicide, and “to kill a pagan is to win glory since it gives glory to Christ”, and that long before the Crusades, Popes Leo IV and John VIII had declared that warriors pure in heart who died fighting for the church would inherit the kingdom of God, because death in battle is martyrdom. As pointed out by Desmond Seward, this sounds no different at all, as an image in the mirror could be, from the contemporary sect of the Hasishyan, whose founder – known as the Sheikh al-Gebel, the Old Man of the Mountain – gave an extreme interpretation of the doctrine of the Jihad (in a way that in recent times was renewed by Aytollah Ruhollah Khomeini).

So, instead to look at difference, it seems to be better and more interesting looking for common interest, because the enemy is the unknown and, when knowing and with respect, this distance can be transformed in philosophic friendship. Already in the Middle Age, this was the way which lead Francesco D’Assisi to talk with Sultan Kamil (especially about the similarity between Christian and Dervish mysticism), and this is the same way which lead Frederick Hohenstaufen and Sultan Kamil to sign the treaty of Nazareth and closing the Crusade without war (and importing in Europe the Arabic numbers and several texts of astronomy and natural magic).

This is the focus point of the reflection: that knowledge is the way which leads from conflict to understanding, and that Knight’s Tradition is the form through by the understanding was hold throughout the centuries. In fact, it’s common that Knight’s Orders always had a role in health and charity (nevertheless history needed that they were warriors), linking eastern to western tradition (as the Rosicrucian Manifesto’s states).

Especially the Knights of Malta are linked to the tradition of health, help and aid (in add to their inner heritage, which is ritual and philophic). So, here history can find the mix of practical activity, philosophic conception and traditional doctrine which could be able to produce an extremely interesting way to analyse spiritual waves common to East and West in a structured way which is proper of European tradition in its rapports with the Mediterranean cultures.

Rethinking about the Knight’s doctrine can be an useful instrument – especially throughout the methodology of theatre anthropology and integrated relational tourism – to work on common values in European and Mediterranean tradition.

Componenti radicali: l’irrazionale in politica

Q Th Sh
